How did you two meet?
Dalton and I met through the dating app Tinder during the fall of 2015. I remember on the first night that we met that Dalton and I just clicked when we talked. It could be the most random subject but we would always find a way to add humor and depth into what we were talking about. I think we spent a good five hours talking about everything and anything!
Tell me alllll about the proposal!
Dalton and I had been dating for around a year and a half when he asked me to marry him. I had been working at the K-State Spring Football Game that day and was ready to be done for the day when I got a call from Dalton asking me to meet him at a friend’s house. After some convincing, I walked to meet him halfway and once we met, Dalton decided to run around the corner of this apartment building we were walking by. I was already confused at this point and as I rounded the corner, I saw Dalton down on one knee and asking me to marry him.
What was your first impression of each other?
My first impression of Dalton was how genuine, honest, and caring he was.
My first impression of Kaitlyn was how easy it was to talk to her and how pretty she was.
Favorite thing about each other and why?
My favorite thing about Dalton is how easy it is for him to make me laugh. Even when I am mad at him, he can still make me laugh with one word.
My favorite thing about Kaitlyn is that she can make me laugh really easily and that she understands my sense of humor.
Tell me about any unique or adventurous things you have done together.
We took a vacation to San Diego with Dalton’s family one summer. Instead of flying to California, we decided to do a cross-country road trip with two cars, two toddlers, and a lot of hope. We drove 22 hours there and 22 hours back and our relationship still survived so we call that a successful adventure together!
What does ‘Marriage’ mean to you?
Marriage means getting through each day with your best friend. It means fighting through the downs, celebrating the ups, and still loving each other at the end of the day even when it seems too hard.
What are you looking forward to most for your wedding day?
Dalton says the open bar! But to be serious, I think that we are really looking forward to celebrating with friends and family with a huge party!
